Pilot Proverbs

• Takeoff is optional but landing is mandatory. 

• There are bold pilots and there are old pilots but there are no bold old pilots. 

• High to low look out below.

• You can fly as slow as you want, just don’t stop. 

• Never fly where your mind has not been before. 

• Airspeed is King. Altitude is insurance 

• You don’t have to be cool to be a pilot but if you’re a pilot then you’re probably cool. 

• Aviate, navigate then communicate. 

• Rule 1: No matter what happens, fly the airplane until the last piece stops moving

• To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder.

• The Engine is the heart of an airplane but the pilot is the soul. 

• A ‘good’ landing is one from which you can walk away. A “great'' landing is one after which they can use the plane again. 

• Learn from the mistakes of others for you won’t live long enough to make them yourself. 

• Survival gear is what is on your person. Camping gear in what is in the back seat
