8 day IFR course

I just wanted to tell you how excited I am and happy I am with this course. I was feeling a bit discouraged yesterday but somehow I pulled out of it and had a great final flight today with Romo.

By the way, I think this is worth mentioning, but I really appreciated Romo and his willingness to teach me as much as he did. Not only that, but I got a chance to experience about 8 solid hours of actual IMC. The very one thing I'm not able to do in high elevation Reno.

I knew that I'm unable to get IMC in Reno. My plane is not rated for flight into known icing, so it's really difficult to get IMC in Reno. Romo was happy to let me experience the real thing down here in this area. Normally, CFII aren't comfortable doing that so I thought it was quite amazing that we did that but also so much of it. 

I'm happy say that I'll be telling all my friends in Reno about this program.

20-Day Private Pilot Course

Thank you very much to my instructor and now my good friend Steven Romo. We started our training in California but unfortunately I needed a little more time to build up my skills so Steven flew out to my home island Martinque, France so that we could continue our training. Today I achieved my goal of becoming a real Private Pilot. Thank you for all your guidance and dedication. Merci !!!

20-Day Private Pilot Course

On September 28, I successfully completed my Private Pilot check ride, a milestone made possible thanks to the dedication and expertise of my instructor. This achievement is not just a personal victory but also a reflection of Steven’s commitment to shaping confident, competent pilots.

 I am truly grateful to Steve, for guiding me through this incredible journey. His passion for aviation and devotion to their students left an indelible mark on my path as a pilot.

6-Day Commercial pilot Course

I found out about the accelerated commercial pilot course through a college at the police department that also flew with Steven. He convinced me that I would get it done safely and quickly without unnecessary delays. The first day I arrived for training we reviewed my log book, reviewed the maneuvers on the ground then we spent hours doing, chandelles, lazy 8s and all the rest of the ACS maneuvers.

My commercial checkride was on the 6th day with a very friendly but serious DPE who seemed to have worked with Steven before. That day I passed my checkride and became one step closer to realizing my dream of becoming a pilot for the Modesto Sheriffs Office,

All said and done, I would highly recommend Steven to any other pilot who wants to learn from a master and get the job done efficiently and safely.

14-Day Private Pilot Training Course

 Working with Steven was truly a pleasure. From day one Steven, and the other instructors at the Grass Valley, CA location were always willing to answer my questions thoroughly and provide valuable advice. Steven was fully engaged each day and pushed me to think like a PIC from our first lesson. Additionally, Steven was never afraid to provide honest feedback about all aspects of the flight training, which I found to be extremely useful.

 The fast paced environment of the PPL course is definitely no joke and you will get out what you put in. With that being said, having a good grasp of the ground knowledge prior to starting will allow for a bit more of a seamless process as you begin learning how to fly.

Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at AFIT with Steven. I would highly recommend Steven to other students as he has a lot of great insight and will push you to be the best pilot you can be.

10-Day IFR Training Course

 I recently completed the IFR course in Lincoln, Ca under the instruction of Steven.  My successful check ride was Saturday with the DPE.

 Steven did an excellent job instructing; ensuring I was prepared for whatever scenario, location, or procedure on which I would be evaluated.  As well, he is an extremely personable and pleasant person from which a student can comfortably learn.

 Casey and crew did a stellar job at keeping the airplane in good flying condition. 

 I appreciated the close proximity of the hotel and the price arrangement with AFIT.  Having a printer in the hangar was absolutely invaluable.  And finally the dedicated classroom at was a good set up for ground training.

 Thank you again for being the pathway to my Instrument rating.
